My creative research unfolds through collaborative, interdisciplinary practices, to connect individuals and communities across personal and geographical borders. A major focus is using movement and the body to investigate issues and themes relevant to underrepresented communities and experiences. My MFA thesis work examined The American Dream through the community of Flint, Michigan and that city's social, cultural, and racial politics and history. My most recent endeavor in movement research contends with womanhood and motherhood as an experience lived in and through the body, and works to deconstruct social norms as they relate to motherhood, creativity, and the body.

Lifestyle + Family

I love working with individuals and families to capture meaningful moments in time. My work in this area includes babies and kids, family sessions, engagement, graduation, and senior photos, and more!

Events

I shoot events in a photojournalistic style, to capture the beautiful and meaningful moments as they unfold in real time. From weddings to birthdays and anniversaries, I capture every detail!

Dance

I work with dancers, choreographers, and other movement artists to capture their work for both archival/documentary purposes, as well as professional promotional materials.

design

Web design

I will work with you and/or your business to create a visual identity (branding guide) and website to suit your needs, and provide you with a tutorial on maintaining your own site, to keep maintenance costs low.

graphic design: Print + Web

Whether you need an entire visual identity (branding guide) created, a logo, or you simply wish to create a single poster, invitation, or banner, I will work with you to create materials that truly represent who you are and what you do!

Video

I will work with you to meet all of your video needs. Promotional trailers + teaser videos, archival + documentary style shoots, and short films are all part of my skill set. My work in video design has been featured in a multitude of arenas, including the concert dance stage and a Big Ten football stadium.
